Design & Construction of a Coles Supermarket, a Liquorland, 18 Speciality Stores & 300 space shaded carpark.

Lanskey Constructions were awarded the contract for the design and construction of the new landmark Cobblebank Village retail development located near Melton South, approximately 40 Kms west of Melbourne’s CBD.

The project comprised a new Coles Supermarket, Liquorland, eighteen speciality stores (including separate pad site), and a 300 space ‘At-Grade’ shaded carpark. Boasting new design decor inside and out, and innovative sustainable construction methodologies, the new facility offers customers a range of modern fresh food and dining experiences and a fantastic mix of essential services including gym and health facilities.

The main building elements included polished concrete ground slabs, precast concrete wall panels with brick snap facings, structural steel frame, Kingspan insulated roof panel system, and exposed feature services.

The Covid19 lockdowns and restrictions of 2020/21 severely challenged the project’s construction in respect of supply interruption and labour resourcing, requiring the Lanskey project team to constantly amend construction methodologies and work programs to ascertain a quality project delivery within the original contracted time requirements.
