A new shopping centre located in the central business district of Mount Gambier comprising a new Coles supermarket, Liquorland Store, nine specialty retail tenancies and extensive on grade car parking with sun shading.
Lanskey Constructions were engaged under a Design and Construct contract on this prominent town centre retail complex redevelopment project in Mount Gambier. The project entailed the demolition of the old iconic Target retail store and other old subsurface structures including remnants of an old power station. The new development has provided a significant contribution to the city centre landscape and built form of Mount Gambier, with the project being widely supported by the local community, especially during the challenging times of the Covid 19 pandemic.
The open-air design that features a perforated composite facade allows shoppers easy access from parking to the Coles Store and surrounding retail tenancies. The surrounding carpark includes shade sail bays, rain gardens, and renewed landscaping and footpaths. The 3,750m2 new supermarket features a new deli, bakery and market style fresh produce hall, and is constructed to Coles latest design and decor standards.
