New build of a Fibre Optic Cable Landing Station

This Project represents a critical piece of network infrastructure for the Sunshine Coast Council and Vertiv to open Australia’s first land-based international Broadband Submarine Cable Facility. The foundation of this new technology is the high-speed, high-quality fibre optic network which will be built into the city’s underground infrastructure.

The station is designed with integrated modular buildings and comprised of transmission rooms and fire separated compartments to service multiple communications providers. Timing was of the essence for the facility to be ready mid-Sept to receive the international cabling from overseas stations in Japan, LA, Hong Kong and Guam.
