The Arena Shopping Centre precinct involved the new build of a Woolworths Supermarket, liquor store, central mall, 21 specialty shops & a business centre.
Inclement weather was the biggest challenge faced by this project. With substantial civil works required due to the sizeable slope of the site, an above average rainfall significantly delayed works in the earlier stages of the project. Extended working hours, increased resourcing and reprogramming of the works were all utilised by Lanskey to make up time against a competitive program.
The client's project manager confirmed “You have taken the concept… and completed a most impressive shopping centre and building”. Furthermore, “Day to day running of the site was amazing even with all the hurdles that were thrown in and met along the way”.

Construction of any sizable development can be difficult. However, Lanskey's professionalism from the tender process through to the conclusion of the twelve ( 12) month warranty period ensured the above project was delivered to an exceptionally high standard, and within the program parameters.
All too often builders resort to a combative, short sighted management approach resulting in ill feeling between client and builder. This is not the case with Lanskey's. It is refreshing to have a builder engage in a "partnership" management style, by providing construction advice, alternative design solutions and by employing a proactive attitude.
