Design & Construction of Coles Supermarket, Liquorland Store and a St John Ambulance Station with upgrade of surrounding infrastructure (stormwater, sewer, council/Vic Road roadways and footpaths)
The project consisted of 6 staged planning consents and 4 staged building applications, all completed within the client’s timeframe. Beginning with de-contamination of approximately 5900 m2 of hazardous materials (incl. 1200 m3 of hand picked soil abatement) prior to deep impact earthwork rolling to 6500 m2 area for building pads and loading dock. This included vibration monitoring to neighbouring residential buildings, Woodend CFA Fire Station communications tower and Optus national fibre optic cable easement. Construction of the supermarket and ambulance station consisted of concrete ground slabs, strip footings, precast concrete panel walls, structural steel frames, insulated roof panels and associated building services.
The loading dock and car park were constructed with 220kL of underground stormwater detention tanks and 150kL underground fire systems water storage tanks. Local stormwater and sewage drainage systems were replaced, with Lanskey constructing a temporary sewage drainage system to ensure there were no operational impacts to residents and community services.
